New Eyes

The last time I went to see an optometrist was in 1998. I have had the same pair of glasses for about 7 years. I am not sure what took me so long, but I finally took a visit to Lens Crafters. It appears that I am just about as blind as before but not too much worse. I took a long time picking out a frame. I ended up picking a frame that is similar to what I had. Everything else looks kinda funky on me. The cost of getting a pair of glasses including the exam, frames, and lenses is more than I remembered. It is a good thing that my work has a great vision plan. I eneded up only having to pay 40% of the total cost. I snapped a shot with my camera phone while waiting for the optometrist. The chair and the instruments look like a contraption straight out of an old school sci-fi film such as "Brazil".
