NBA Thugs

Just a few days ago, I bitched about NBA's stupid attire rule banning iPods from being used by players during the 20 minute warm-up. NBA banned the iPods because the association has very strict rules about its image...for the fans. I am sure you have heard of it or seen on the news already. This past friday night Indiana’s Ron Artest, Jermaine O’Neal, and Stephen Jackson brawled the fans who pay for their ridiculous salaries in the millions of dollars.
It all started when Detroit’s Ben Wallace pushed Ron Artest to contest him after Artest committed yet another dirty foul on Wallace. A fan of Wallace followed up by tossing a cup on Artest. Ron Artest reacted like an animal; he jumped over the table and hopped the seats to shove the fan's face into the seats. Jackson ran up and sacked the fan's friend. O'Neal then lunged at another fan. The overpaid NBA super star millionaires punched, pushed, shoved, forearmed, and bitch slapped fans. The scene scared and dramatized kids. It was a boxing match. It was a riot. It was a very ugly scene.
As of now, the four players involved are suspended indefinitely. The exact length of the bans may be announced as early as sometime today. What? Exact length? These people should be banned from the NBA and the world of basketball forever. If any person working at a company punched a customer, I can assure you that he or she will be fired immediately and serve some jail time. The NBA will ban iPods and not its players who physically assaulted its hardworking customers? NBA now has a chance to demonstrate how much it cares about its "image". The NBA needs to ban these players out of the league forever! Will it happen? Sadly to say, I doubt it. The NBA does not care about its image nor fans. NBA only cares about money. Should the NBA let any of these players continue to play basketball, I hope that all fans will protest and fight back by banning the NBA.
