Met the Family

My trip to California did not start well. Last Friday, my America West flight from D.C. to Phoenix was delayed which caused me to miss my connection flight to San Diego. I almost had to stay at a hotel in Arizona that night but I was able to catch the last flight to San Diego as a stand by. It was very lucky considering there were probably 20-30 of us standing by and only 6 got on the flight. The rest had to spend the night in Arizona. I was so glad that I made it to San Diego Friday night. I did not want to waste 12 hours of my two and a half day trip in Arizona. At first I thought it was a sign for me not to meet Trendy's parents, but it was meant to happen after all.

The meet went well. Thankfully, it was nothing like the movie Meet the Parents. Trendy's parents and grandparents are very nice. They did not drill me with questions but they did ask me about my education and plans for the future. I think I made a good impression. Overall, They did make me feel very comfortable hanging out with them for the two whole days I was there. It was awesome to finally meet Trendy's parents and see how she interacts with her family. I had a wonderful time!
