Preston Galla writes, "Google will include links to AOL videos on the Google Video home page --- and won't label any of those links advertising, or call the preferred listings advertising, even though they clearly are ads...Microsoft refused to include the links or give preferred placement without labeling them ads, saying that to do so would be unethical."
What? Google is going to do something that Microsoft considers "unethical". Wow! Who would have thought... Well, I guess this is what happens when you partner with AOL. I consider AOL the ultimate spammer of physical mail boxes. Who has not gotten at least 1 to dozens or more of those annoying "free trial" discs from AOL? Not only does AOL want you to sign up with its bad service, it also wants you to install their software that will mess up and corrupt your computer. It is very disappointing that Google is going to be part of AOL and vice versa. I thought the founders of Google have always pledged to "do-no-evil". Even Google cannot resist greed, the dark side.
