Tidbits
Just before 2 PM this afternoon, I was in a corporate building of my work carrying on a conversation with others. All of a sudden the walls began to shake and the floor rolled. The shaking continued for what seemed to be an eternity as we huddled under a door frame. It was both exciting and scary. I found out that there were actually three consecutive earthquakes in the magnitudes of 4.9, 3.7, and 3.5. No wonder the quake felt as if it was going to last forever.
First one (4.9) occurred at 1:53:26 PM.
Second one (3.7) followed at 1:54:19 PM.
Last one (3.5) struck at 1:54:49 PM.
The map below shows just how close I was in relation to the quake's origin. It was only about 10 - 15 miles away from me!
