All these boycotts and protests against The Da Vinci Code raise one important question. How strong is the Catholic faith? Apparently, the Catholics and others protesting against a fictitious movie don't have much faith in their own faith. They, the protesters, fear that a Hollywood movie could destroy their religion, their beliefs, and their faith. C' mon, let's get real here. If a person truly has faith, can it really be changed?
It seems to me that there are more so called "faithfuls" with doubts about Catholicism than I realized. What does it say about a religion when its believers think a fictitious movie such as The Da Vinci Code could destroy its multi-billion dollar empire?
No, I am not religious. Yes, I have read The Da Vinci Code. No, the book did not alter my view on religion at all. My views on religions remain the same after reading the book. There should be more protests and boycotts against the Vatican scandals and child molestations; instead, the "faithfuls" are more concerned about a fictitious film. The Da Vinci Code is just a movie. If you don't like it, don't see it. People should be protesting against events that matter such as the Iraq war, Bush, and Big Brother breaking the law.
