Satellite Radio Censor Free

Yes! FCC refused Saul Levine's request to apply censorship on satellite radio. Levine, an owner of three radio stations, wants the FCC to "level the playing field". FCC chief Kenneth Ferree writes, "The commission has previously ruled that subscription-based services do not call into play the issue of indecency."

Satellite radio should never be censored as long as it is subscription based like HBO and the likes. The subscribers made the choice and pay a monthly fee. The listeners of satellite radio choose to listen just like HBO subscribers who choose to watch. This is certainly great news for Howard Stern who recently signed a five year contract with Sirius Satellite radio. For the first time in Stern's career, he will finally be able to say whatever he wants without the FCC giving him the bitch slap for every other word he says.
