Logitech introduces MX™1000 Laser Cordless Mouse which the company claims, "with an incredible 20x more sensitivity to surface detail—or tracking power—than optical, laser can track reliably even on tricky polished or wood-grain surfaces. And the MX1000 offers even more advanced features that will make you more productive and more comfortable." It is rechargeable with fast RF and superior grip describes the company on the product page.
Yeah, that sounds great and all. But what I really want to know is this. When will Logitech finally make available a wireless/cordless version of their Marble Mouse which is my favorite tracking device for many years? I began using the Marble Mouse back in the late 90s for gaming and found that it is also precise and functional for general and advanced computing tasks. It is quick in response and only requires minimal desktop space that is as big as the unit's base. The control is handled by fingers which relieves your wrist from constant dragging here and there. I have tried many other pointing devices, but I still cannot find a replacement. Logitech, if you can hear me, please free the Marble Mouse from its cumbersome wires. Thanks.
