About a month ago, Adelphia rolled out its new OnDemand service. The service is included for all digital cable subscribers. After a month of using Adelphia OnDemand, I can say that I absolutely love it. Since I also have HBO and other premium movie channels, Adelphia provides me with access to premium OnDemand services for free. I can watch past seasons of shows such as Curb Your Enthusiasm and Entourage. There are also many movies that can be viewed via the service. I like to call Adelphia OnDemand as free-per-view or a lazy man's TiVo/DVR. Instead of actively recording shows, Adelphia OnDemand offers you with a library of movies and shows that changes from month to month. It is great. Although the pause, rewind, and fast forward functions of this service is not as smooth as a TiVo or DVR, I am hoping that all these small kinks will be fixed as the technology improves. If you have cable, you may already have the OnDemand service. It all depends on your cable company and where you live. Give it a try and you will find yourself addicted like me.
