Westridge-Canyon Back

For months I have looked across the valley from Sullivan fireroad and wondered what lies on the other side. Feeling adventurous, I decided to find out. I rode up a brutal pavement climb on Westridge road from North Mandeville Canyon road and discovered the Westridge-Canyon Back Park at the top with an awesome fireroad that loops back to the Sullivan fireroad. There is a lookout tower at the top of the Westridge fireroad. I took the Sullivan fireroad back down to civilization. The elevation at the top is a little over 1800 feet which makes it a very good workout from ocean level. This loop from Westridge to Sullivan or vice versa is a great ride with beautiful scenery.
