3 dollars and 10 cents

My premium gas just went up to $3.10 per gallon due to Katrina. This is a 10 cent price hike due to one hurricane. I am fortunate that my commute to work is only 2 miles each way. I think oil companies are just using the hurricane as an excuse to jack up gas prices. How can we be in such a shortage in just a few days? The sad thing is that we really do not have a choice, not yet at least.
