Welcome to Version 7

Version 7 combines the capabilities of Macromedia Flash, MovableType, and HTML. This version took me about 6 weeks to complete. I spent most of the time learning about the codes of MovableType and how I may integrate it with my own designs. It took about 2 weeks to design the flash section which you see above. Overall, I am very happy and excited with the outcome.

MovableType is actually very user friendly if you just use its default templates. However, it is a bit of a hassel when you want to customize it to look the way you prefer...lots of handcoding and testing. Once you get the basics of how the code works and how it is integrated with HTML, MovableType becomes quite easy to manipulate. It just takes some time to learn the basics and doing the initial coding part.

MovableType will allow me to begin "blogging". I am planning to add much content in the future. Unlike my previous versions which mostly consisted of photos and static information, version 7 will include many of my up-to-date reviews, ramblings, and guides. One of the main reasons for me to add weblog capabilities on my site is gaining the ability to update content quickly and easily via a web based control console without having to mess with FTP. This means that I would be able to update and change content from any computer in the world with Internet access. It is pretty amazing.

So far, I am planning to write some quick guides for both Photoshop and Flash in the weeks ahead.
