Ruth Chris

We went to Ruth Chris Steak House to for a birthday dinner. This was my first time. As a steak lover, I was very excited to try this well-known restaurant for the first time. Ruth Chris Steak House does have several locations, we went to the one in San Diego right by the harbor. From one side of the restaurant, you can see the beautiful San Diego city. An incredible ocean view dominates the other side of the restaurant. I was facing the city which was beginning to sparkle as daylight dwindled. The setting was superb for a fancy restaurant such as this.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the taste. Everything tasted salty. We ordered New York Strip, Ribeye, T-Bone, and Lamb Chops. They all tasted similar, salty. Even the creamed spinach had one too many pinches of salt. The only thing we ate that was worth mentioning was the sauté mushroom.

Personally, I would not ever visit another Ruth Chris Steak House again. I can get salty food for much cheaper on the streets. Ruth Chris Steak House is overrated and over priced.

If you want a great steak in a fancy setting, go to Morton's Steak House.
