One of the best features of a Symbian smartphone is the ability to install and run all types of software that have been developed by companies and individuals. And many of these great programs are freeware. Below is a list of my favorite freeware for S60 mobile phones:
Calcium
This is A great calculator with easy to use controls, perfect for mobile phone keypads.
Clocksaver
This is a must-have, especially for Nokia owners. This clock screensaver is a much better alternative than the default screensaver from Nokia. The clock display is large and easy to read without the backlight. Additionally, the screensaver also displays a ton of other information. If I had to choose only one screensaver for my phone, this would be it.
XXL Screensaver
This is also a good screensaver that offers large displays and a variety of options and styles.
FExplorer
A very useful file manager.
Torch
This app blanks the screen to white and keeps the backlight lit so your phone can act as a flashlight. This is very handy.
PocketCounter
A useful and powerful timer. I use this mostly for road trips.
CardDeck
This is an official release from Nokia with Six traditional card games such as Golf, Klondike, and etc.
Frozen Bubble
This game is one of the best puzzle games especially for mobile devices.
Pocket Sudoku
The number keypad is perfect for this popular board game.
Themes
If you want themes, this place is got a ton for free! Some of my favorite themes are AEBlack, Alien, and Blue Final.
You may also find many other Symbian Freeware on websites such as Symbian Wiki Freeware, 3-Lib Series 60 Freeware, All About Symbian, and Simon Judge.
