Popup Blocker Test

I hate web sites that bombard you with popup advertising windows. All self launching popup windows should be banned! One way to stop the popup madness is using a popup blocking software. Windows XP's Service Pack 2 update includes a new feature for Internet Explorer to block popups. It actually works! I went to PopupTest.com and verified the effectiveness of SP2 popup blocking feature. The default medium setting blocks out all the conventional popups, but it is vulnerable to less common popup techniques. Overall, I really like the new SP2 popup blocking feature which can also be quickly set to temporary allow popups on the site you are browsing.

Google Toolbar is also another awesome freebie with great popup blocking feature. If you already have a popup blocker, you should check out its effectiveness at PopupTest.com. If you don't have one, the site also has a list of freebie popup blockers.
