I wrote a quick digital camera buying guide a couple of years ago after some
of my friends asked me for advice before purchasing their first digital camera.
After seeing a great article about digital photography on NY Times, I decided
to finally post my guide. I hope this guide may help you in finding
that perfect camera for you.

One of the most important tasks before purchasing your digital camera is doing
the research. There are many great review sites out there. My favorites and
trusted sources are as follows:
A skilled photographer can take a great picture using a $100 or $1000 camera.
A bad photographer can never take a good picture no matter how much his or her
equipment costs. I hear too many people blaming their equipment for badly taken
photos. More often than not, blurry images and bad photos are the faults of
