Pirates bury spider

We tried to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest this past weekend, the opening weekend, but the theater was overly crowded with folks with the same intention as ours. We decided to wait for a couple of weeks when we can get better seats without having to trample over small children. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest takes the number one spot as the all time opening weekend money maker. Pirates grossed around $136 million in its opening weekend which surpassed Spiderman's $115 million opening weekend. (Check out the stats on Box Office Mojo) The Spider has held the top spot for over 4 years since 2002. I wonder who can hunt down the Pirates in the future. To make over $136 million in one weekend will be tough to beat for any movie. Perhaps, the Spider will bite again in its third installment.
