iGo Stowaway Ultra-Slim Bluetooth Keyboard works with my Palm TX and Nokia 6682. I originally purchased the keyboard with the intention to use it only with my Palm. But I discovered that the keyboard works so well with my phone, I know that I can and will use the Stowaway Keyboard with my phone just as much as I will with my PDA. Although the keyboard looks small, it is actually a full size keyboard like the ones found on laptops without a dedicated row of number keys on the top. Instead, the numbers share the same keys as the QWERTY row. The keyboard's extra blue and green function keys (Fn) provide the ability to access special functions within devices' unique OS environments. For example, "Fn-left space bar" simulates the left selection button on my phone.
I normally type between 65 to 80 wpm on a standard keyboard. I can type almost as fast on the Stowaway Keyboard. Using the Stowaway Keyboard sure beats typing on Palm's virtual keyboard or using my phone's keypad. The keyboard makes my phone and PDA much more practical when I use them to answer my e-mails. And inputting data is much easier and faster as well.
Stowaway Keyboard is definitely a a nice alternative to laptops when you already own a smart phone or a PDA that can access the Internet. It transforms your PDA or cell phone into more practical devices. And I certainly prefer packing a Stowaway Keyboard than a 6 lb. laptop when I am on the road. Anyway, if you want to trim some weight while traveling, check out the Stowaway Keyboard.
If you do end up getting this keyboard, make sure you download the drivers directly from Think Outside. The only flaw with this product is the included CD in the box. The CD has outdated device drivers that do not work with modern mobile devices. It will be easier to simply download the latest from the company's website. I learned the hard way and wasted 30 minutes trying to get the CD drivers to work.
