Photo Safe

Photo Safe by Digital Foci is a portable hard drive with the ability to copy files from a memory card. This is a perfect road warrior gadget for any person who owns a digital camera. Instead of hauling a heavy laptop with you on your trips to unload and back up your photos from you memory cards, you may simply use a Photo Safe which weight only 0.6 lb. (with hard drive and battery).

Photo Safe can also be used to store any data since it is just a standard 5400rpm 2.5" hard drive. I have the 40 GB version. I formatted mine into two partitions so that I may use one for downloading photos and the other for storing files I need to access while I am away from my home computer. You will have to use FAT32 for a partition to be recognized by Photo Safe's default firmware. For me, I used FAT32 for the photos and formatted the other using NTFS. This way I can keep the new photos and my date separated. Overall, I am very pleased with this product. I recommend it.
