I have been looking for a GPS navigation solution for my car in the past few weeks, but I did not want to spend over $200 for one. The only cost effective solution will be an add-on kit for my palm similar to Trendy's iPaq GPS. At last, I saw the perfect item at my local CompUSA which is having a close out sale. The Palm GPS Car kit includes a car cradle with integrated GPS receiver and speaker, TomTom Navigator 5 software and maps, and power cable. And get this, this Palm GPS car kit had a price tag of $20 plus a 15% discount! Yes, I said $20 as in twenty dollars! The store associate assured me that it included everything I need to turn my Palm into a GPS navigator. I still had my doubts. I was convinced that I had to purchase a separate GPS receiver. But the store associate told me that it is a discontinued product that used to cost $150. I was shocked. The price is too good to be true. I finally made the purchase thinking that something must be missing. For $17, it was worth a shot.
The store associate was right! The Palm GPS car kit I purchased for $17 included everything I needed. I still can't believe that it cost under $20. I included an image of the receipt as proof. Crazy huh?
