Nokia 6682

I upgraded my phone to a Nokia 6682. The 6682 is a much better version of my Nokia 7610 and more. One of the best new features of this new phone is the added flash for the camera. The flash is a necessity for indoor and night shots. Another great new feature on the 6682 is the EDGE Wireless capability which provides much faster wireless access than the aging GPRS. I noticed a huge difference in connection speed when browsing around. Another cool feature is the light sensor on the front. The light sensor controls the brightness and lights of the unit to prolong battery life.

  • 1.3 megapixel camera with flash, 6X digital zoom.

  • GPRS/EGPRS up to 236 Kbps

  • Supports up to 5 Bluetooth devices simultaneously

The 6682 uses the Symbian OS just like my 7610. I was able to transfer all my software easily to the new phone. The faster processor handles the menu navigation much faster and smoother. And Nokia has added little features here and there to make the software more friendly.

Additionally, 6682 has a more ergonomic design than the 7610. The 5 way navigation button is easier to use as well as the two main buttons on the sides. And the number keys are much easier to press as well. However, this phone is slightly larger than the 7610 and a little heavier. But the phone still feels good in the hand and fits nicely in the pocket.

  • 4.62 ounces

  • 4.23" long, 2.19" wide, 0.86" thick
