Nikon Lenses

I added two new lenses to my photography gear bag. The first lens is an AF-S DX VR Zoom-NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED. It has a focal length of 18-200mm with maximum aperture of 3.5 to 5.6. This lens auto focuses and has vibration reduction for the 200mm shots. The zoom range is huge for this lens and makes it very versatile for various shooting environments. I have yet had the chance to take this lens out to run a full test of its image quality. However, all the reviews are excellent for this lens which is a good thing. This is definitely a major step up from my 18-135mm kit lens.

The second lens is an AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D. It has a fixed focal length of 50mm. It also has the auto focus feature. I bought this lens after reading a ton of reviews about its speed and sharpness. It is one of the most affordable quality lenses from Nikon. It retails for about $110. This lens will be great for portrait and low lights. I will need to change my shooting style by physically moving my feet to compose.
