360 for $399

At the German Games Convention, Microsoft announced that XBox 360 will be priced at $399. There will also be a $299 version available that comes only with a wired controller. The $399 package includes a wireless controller, 20 GB hard drive, headset, and cable for hooking up to high-definition TVs. I am not sure why they even bother announcing the price for the bare bone unit for $299. It is like telling us that we can buy a car for $299 without seats, tires, and doors. Although the $399 XBox 360 will be the most expensive console to date, just wait for Sony's price announcement for its PS3. The PS3 is supposed to cost much more than the 360. How high can it go? $399 is already pretty damn expensive.
