The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley and William D. Danko will change the way you think about millionaires and perhaps help you join the ranks of America's wealthy yourself. This is one of my favorites in this category. Although the reading can be a little dry for some with all the statistics and numbers, The Millionaire Next Door is still a must read for any of those who wants to become wealthy, stay wealthy, and continue the wealth cycle for generations.
You may be surprised to find that a person who looks rich is not necessary wealthy and a person who looks average may have a net worth of millions. Image means nothing. If a person spends more than her income, he will never accumulate wealth. The bottom line is that a person can be frugal without being cheap. You do not have to look rich to be wealthy. And you can teach your kids how to stay on the wealth cycle you created for your family from reading The Millionaire Next Door.
